This training is for anyone interested in running as a candidate for national convention delegate, or elector. The training is being offered several times so feel free to sign up for whichever session is most convenient. Please register in advance so that we know how many people to expect. Thanks!
Deadline for filing to run in the national delegate elections that are held at the Congressional District caucuses on May 18.
After the close of candidate filing and before the election, the State Party will host candidate forums for national delegate candidates in each of Washington’s ten congressional districts. More details will be provided as the dates and times of these candidate forums are finalized.
State convention delegates in each of Washington’s ten congressional districts will endorse candidates for Congress and elect a total of 60 national convention delegates.
Deadline for filing to run in the at-large national delegate elections that are held at the Washington State Democratic Central Committee meeting on June 9.
Deadline for filing to run in the PLEO national delegate elections that are held at the Washington State Democratic Central Committee meeting on June 9.
Certain members of the Washington State Democratic Central Committee will meet and elect at-large and PLEO national delegates from among the candidates who filed by June 2.
Washington’s national convention delegates will meet to elect a delegation chair and twelve standing committee members (who will serve on various committees of the Democratic National Convention).
Certain members of the Washington State Democratic Central Committee will meet and elect a slate of electors, who will cast Washington’s votes in the Electoral College if the Democratic ticket wins the state.
State convention delegates will meet and decide which candidates to endorse in statewide races, as well as conducting other Democratic Party business.
Washington State’s national delegates will attend the convention in Chicago and formally nominate the Democratic Party’s 2024 candidates for President and Vice-President of the United States.
